2 Wednesdays, August 13 - 20, 3:00 - 5:00 pm Creative Critters Taught by Karen Yarnall, Ages 7 - 12 $ 44 Members / $ 48 Non-member This class will run on two Wednesdays. During the first one students will make a fun creature or critter sculpture using a plastic egg as an armature (base or ""skeleton") and add desired features like arms, legs, tentacles, fins, wings, etc., from materials like pipe cleaners and cardboard. These will be attached and covered by plaster cloth strips. Since they will have to dry, they will be painted the following week and desired items such as wiggly eyes and feathers can be glued on. During class when the sculptures are drying, we will also be making origami butterflies. No experience necessary. Sign up ad have fun! The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Karen has a BA from Franklin College, IN, MAE (Masters of Art Education) from Herron School of Art, IUPUI, IN, and is a retired public school art teacher and artist including illustrator of multiple children's books
