3 Wednesdays, June 24, July 1, July 8, 2-4:30pm Intro to Artisan Wire Jewelry Taught by Sabine Banerjee Wagner, 18+ This beginner-friendly class is offered in three sessions of 2½ hours each. You’ll start by creating a ring using simple wire-weaving techniques, then build your skills to form a bail and set a stone for a pendant, finishing with a pair of matching earrings. All you need to bring is a little patience and plenty of creativity. Instructor Bio: "After retiring from teaching social anthropology and German, I reconnected with my creative side. Having discovered a love of beads while living in New Mexico, I took up wire wrapping during the pandemic and began combining it with beaded jewelry to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Many of the gems I work with were gathered on my travels through Asia, Europe, and Australia, each one a reminder of the journey that brought it home." The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class.
