Due to safety concerns, the age limit to this class has been modified to 4- to 6-years 11 month swimmers.
For swimmer safety, CPRD requests that your swimmer be able to stand and move independently on the Tot Dock (22 inches water depth) for this class.Preschool Level 1 is an introduction to the water. There are no prerequisites for Preschool Level 1 although, if applicable, Tiny Tot enrollment and participation is a recommendation but not a requirement.
To complete Preschool 1/2, your swimmer must be able to comfortably submerge, blow bubbles from their nose underwater and float (with minimal assistance) on their front and back.
Both levels will be working on basic fundamental skills including, but not limited to, submerging, breath control, rhythmic breathing, floating, gliding, kicking and beginner front crawl, elementary backstroke, and backstroke.
Class takes place in 22 inches of water. Classes cancelled by management will be credited to your CPRD ActiveNet account unless otherwise specified. Classes missed due to illness, vacation, etc. do not qualify for credit/make-up lesson or refund. Participant withdrawal is required at least 24 hours prior to the first class to receive full credit; an administration fee will be levied for late withdrawals.
