About This Activity
Description
We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
During each class, participants will learn techniques, form, and
rules for target archery, as well as try different types of bows
(compound and recurves), shoot archery games, and perform
drills for becoming a better archer. Twice each season, kids have
the opportunity to earn one of the rank patches based on personal
shooting scores. Bows and equipment are provided, or use your
own with instructor approval. At the end of the season, archers
compete in a members-only tournament where kids pit their skills
against others in their age brackets. New students with no archery
experience are welcome, but must register for the New Archery
Club Member Introduction class below. Instructors are USA Archery
certified. Cost includes equipment, patches, tournament medals,
and trophies. This club meets at the instructional range next to
Rockwood Nature Center. Three time slots are available but space is
limited, so register early to be assured a spot!
