Street Dance kids is a welcoming, inclusive, upbeat dance class for children aged 6-9! Children will learn hip hop dance and gain confidence in this class! Children of all skill levels are welcome, and they will leave class feeling empowered, motivated, and eager to learn more! We will learn a new routine every two weeks, giving us two pieces of choreography to focus on each month. Each month, we will explore and learn more about a different theme, such as old school hip hop or female hip hop icons! This class is all about improving your dance skills in a safe and encouraging space. Allegro Performing Arts Centre and McTavish Academy of Arts are pleased to join forces and provide the peninsula with another opportunity for high quality dance instruction. Specially designed classes for students and families who are looking for a recreational, non-performance program for their dancer. With shorter sessions these programs are the perfect place for new students or anyone looking for a short term fun dance class. Allegro is pleased to be able to collaborate with McTavish Academy as we all continue to share our love of the fine arts and help to foster a community of artistic appreciation throughout the Peninsula. Jade started dancing soon after she started walking, and hasn’t stopped since! Her repertoire consists of Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theatre, Acro and Contemporary. Jade was a member of The Peninsula Young Performers (PYP) Youth Dance Company for several years. She toured with PYP and Allegro to numerous competitions and performances throughout Canada and the United States. Jade has completed her Advanced ISTD exams in Tap and Modern. Jade continues to broaden her dance education by attending dance conventions, Summer programs, and annual workshops with Master.
