About This Activity
Description
Our Swim Test Preparation Class is designed for children ages 8 to 15 who would like the opportunity to practice and improve on the skills needed to pass either the Oceanside Surf Camp swim test or the Oceanside Junior Lifeguard swim test. Skills covered: front crawl stroke refinement, underwater swimming, and endurance training.Prerequisite: The student must have passed Sea Stars through the City of Oceanside's Children's Learn to Swim program* OR the student must take a prerequisite test to demonstrate their ability to swim crawl stroke one length of the pool without stopping and tread water for 30 seconds. The test will be provided free of charge at William A. Wagner Aquatic Center by appointment only. Please call WAC at 760-435-5370If your child has passed Sea Stars, please call so that we may clear them in our system to be enrolled in the Swim Test Prep Class.
