About This Activity
Description
The next step up from the teen beginner sailing class, the teen intermediate class focuses on solidifying the basic skills learned in the prior class and introducing new techniques. Sailors will continue to sail two-person boats and rotate between each position, learning advanced boat handling and techniques needed to sail fast! The evening classes will overlap with the High School Race Team, and intermediate students might have the opportunity to join the team’s practice for some extra challenge. Swimming is a required part of this class (lifejackets are always worn). This class meets at the Olympia Yacht Club.
