About This Activity

This activity is closed to further registration.

Join us for an awesome summer skate camp for some fun in the sun! Kids will learn new tricks, make new friends and most importantly have fun. We strive to promote health and determination through skateboarding. This is a great camp for kids who have experience or have completed SkateStart Level 1 class. A helmet, skateboard & proper shoes are required. Sweet prizes and raffles from premier skate brands and deals from one of the premier skate shops around, BC Surf and Sport! Sunscreen provided from Sunbum. Let’s get rolling!

Level of Instruction: Participants must have completed SkateStart Level 1 OR have previous skateboarding experience.

Skills/Fundamentals Learned:

  • Skate park safety and etiquette
  • Board setup
  • Proper warm-up and cool-down
  • Rolling faster
  • Turning harder
  • Tricks
  • Drop-ins
  • Catching Air!

Instructor: SkateStart's instructors bring over 25 years of experience teaching skateboarding. They have taught Tony Hawks's son Riley, instructed at the X Games and have a proven track record focusing on safety and success. Visit www.SkateStart.com for more information.

  • Equipment: Please bring a helmet, skateboard, athletic shoes (no open toed), water and snack. Pads are encouraged. Sunscreen provided by Sun Bum. SkateStart Skateboards are available to rent for use at the clinic.
  • The high-quality, patented SkateStart skateboard is available for purchase. Email Patrick at skatestart34@gmail.com one week prior to camp to reserve yours. Cost for complete skateboard is $110 (normally $120). Visit www.SkateStart.com for more information.
  • Meet at the pavilion about 15 minutes before class begins.
  • Skip Dates: N/A - A make-up date will be provided if inclement weather becomes an issue.
