This opening talk covers what coaches truly look for in developing athletes - attitude, focus, consistency, communication, and resilience - and the mindset it takes to grow from talent into a champion. Prepare to perform A high-energy blend of dry-land movement and in-water activation designed to wake up the nervous system, sharpen coordination, and prime the body for performance. Passing / Preparation, Precision & Movement Body fundamentals, body preparation to receive the ball, using legs and core to elevate and throw. Diversity of faking, timed movements with and without the ball to prepare the shot. (4 x 20-Minute Stations) Game awareness, Timing & Anticipation 1. Swim-Receive-Shoot – Move from horizontal to vertical to prepare the shot and elevate. Step on the ball, slide, add fake, and finish under pressure. 2. 6M Work – Release from pressing and enter the ball to center. Drive entry and separation to create your 6M shot. 3. Defending the Drive – Anticipation, body position, and control. Focus on recognizing passing angles, maintaining defensive balance, and controlling body position. 4. Zone Work – Offensive focus on reading angles and moving into open water to beat the block. 1H - Mini Tournament / Scrimmage - Apply what you learned
