About This Activity
We offer a 4-week summer program designed to address the recreational, athletic, and academic needs of students entering grades 4–9. Instruction is given in the areas of basketball, reading and STEM and is geared towards the individual needs of each student. Highlights of the program include guest speakers, team and community building, and time in our historic Friends Free Library. Classroom activities are interactive and designed to be fun as well as educational and engaging. Basketball instruction is provided by the GFS basketball staff and takes place in our state-of-the-art Field House Gym. Instruction focuses on fundamentals, skill work, team cohesion, conditioning, and sportsmanship. The cost of camp includes lunch from GFS' dining hall! There will be hot and cold menu options.
