About This Activity
The Lanternlight Readers is a cozy after-school book club for students in grades 3–5 who love stories, conversation, and shared discovery. Meeting once a week for six weeks, students will read and discuss Kate DiCamillo’s The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane as a mentor text, exploring character, theme, and meaningful questions together. The club offers a warm, welcoming space where reading is joyful, thoughtful, and illuminated by curiosity.
