About This Activity
Join us for a creative, joyful, movement-based arts camp in which kids feel encouraged, supported, and can be their full selves. We’ll create and perform a beautiful butterfly dance, learn music inspired by the chirps of crickets and the hiss of scorpions, and go scavenger hunting through the wild world of insects, seeing what magical creatures lie just beneath our feet. We’ll spend time in the real outdoors as well as pretending! There will be art projects, science experiments, and group games, integrated into themes of helping one another and building community. Tima Ally will be leading this camp. He is an early childhood and community arts educator focusing on the intersections of childhood imaginative play and the natural world. Tima has been an educator in the Philadelphia School District and has been with ZoomDance since 2022.
