This six-week intensive course focuses on strengthening students’ computational skills in solving equations and graphing linear equations. Topics include: simplifying expressions (polynomial, exponents, roots, rational), solving linear and quadratic equations and inequalities, solving systems of linear equations, and graphing linear functions. Friends Select students must earn a B or higher in this course to move on to Pre-Calculus. For questions, please email Matt Rosen at mattr@friends-select.org. Classes run 8:30am-12:30pm each day. Prerequisite: Completed Algebra 1 (all students); B or higher in Geometry (FSS students only) NOTE: FSS Students wishing to take this course for academic credit at FSS will not be eligible for academic credit if they miss more than THREE class periods of the course. If they miss more than three class periods, they may still be able to place into the next course in the mathematics sequence depending on their final grade and permission from the Math Department Chair.
