This six-week intensive course prepares students for calculus. It covers trigonometric functions and their graphs, right triangle trigonometry, polar coordinates, complex numbers, sequences and series, and limits of functions. An introduction to calculus topics will be covered if time permits. Additionally, Friends Select students must earn a B or higher in this course to move on to Calculus. Prerequisites: B+ or higher in Algebra II. NOTE: FSS Students wishing to take this course for academic credit at FSS will not be eligible for academic credit if they miss more than THREE class periods of the course. If they miss more than three class periods, they may still be able to place into the next course in the mathematics sequenece depending on their final grade and permission from the Math Department Chair.
