Week 1 of our EPIC Day Camp is all about the Great Outdoors! We will be using all of our senses to explore nature in all its beauty. Art with nature, scavenger hunts, and nature-based science experiments! Up In the Garden, Down In the Dirt, Some Bugs, A Walk in the Forest, and other fabulous nature-related books will inspire us to be more aware of the world around us. GFS’s Day Camp is a 5-week camp designed for children to Explore, Play, Imagine, Create! Every day, campers discover and cultivate their interests, learn new and exciting things through reading and experience, engage in the community surrounding Germantown Friends School, and foster new friendships during the summer. Campers will enjoy different activities in art, science, music, and drama ensuring non-stop excitement and fun. Each week we'll also explore our community through nature walks, scavenger hunts, and visits with the librarians at our Friends Free Library. Campers will spend a majority of their day outside on our playground or for water play. Campers are grouped by age and are paired with experienced, CPR and First-Aid certified camp staff. *There is no camp on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth* Please note: -Campers in EPIC Day Camp must be 3 years old and fully potty trained by the time they start camp. -Campers who live in Center City, can opt-in to a daily shuttle that will take them to the Main Campus in Germantown for our Day Camp for an additional fee. The shuttle is chaperones by Early Childhood camp staff. -Lunch is NOT included for this camp. Lunch should be packed & brought from home.
