For Week 3 of our EPIC Day Camp we are traveling back in time to visit Dinosaurs! Campers will spend the week learning how to uncover fossils, identifying various types of dinosaurs, assembling dinosaur bones and discovering what the world looked like millions of years ago. Bones, Bones, Dinosaur Bones, How Big Were the Dinosaurs, and Dinosaurs Before Dark provide the back-drop for our prehistoric adventure transforming campers into expert paleontologists. GFS’s Day Camp is a 5-week camp designed for children to Explore, Play, Imagine, Create! Every day, campers discover and cultivate their interests, learn new and exciting things through reading and experience, engage in the community surrounding Germantown Friends School, and foster new friendships during the summer. Campers will enjoy different activities in art, science, music, and drama ensuring non-stop excitement and fun. Each week we'll also explore our community through nature walks, scavenger hunts, and visits with the librarians at our Friends Free Library. Campers will spend a majority of their day outside on our playground or for water play. Campers are grouped by age and are paired with experienced, CPR and First-Aid certified camp staff. Please note: -Campers in EPIC Day Camp must be 3 years old and fully potty trained by the time they start camp. -Campers who live in Center City, can opt-in to a daily shuttle that will take them to the Main Campus in Germantown for our Day Camp for an additional fee. The shuttle is chaperones by Early Childhood camp staff. -Lunch is NOT included for this camp. Lunch should be packed & brought from home.
