About This Activity
Girls Sports Camp: Leaders in Training prepares young athletes for leadership roles on teams, at school, and in life. Under the direction of Anya Erz, GFS Director of Physical Education and GFS Field Hockey and Lacrosse Coach, GSC-LIT participants will learn coaching fundamentals, including how to demonstrate skills, motivate unenthusiastic players, redirect disruptive behavior, provide constructive feedback, and how to be valuable role models for younger athletes. LIT program participants also will learn what it is like to have a job as a counselor for GFS Camps by supporting both the GSC staff and the senior counselors in the essential daily routines of the day. Camp includes daily swim time at Germantown Cricket Club. Please note: -This camp is a welcoming space for gender-expansive youth. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about whether or not it would be a good fit for your child. -Lunch is NOT included for this camp. Lunch should be packed & brought from home.
