"The GCU Co-ed Wrestling Club team returns the sport of pride and passion back to the GCU campus. The Wrestling Club brings together those interested in one of the oldest forms of combat, and teaches them not only the proper grappling techniques and ways to be a champion, but also relates the lessons on the mat to what you’ll encounter in your physical, spiritual and emotional lives. The GCU Co-Ed Wrestling Club is a multi-semester sport that will compete in tournaments in both Arizona and adjoining states. Wrestlers will have the chance to compete for local and regional titles, but it will be based on their skill level, and those who are just learning about the sport and its components will be able to progress at their speed to learn the proper ways of the sport. The GCU Co-Ed Wrestling Club practices 2-3 times per week throughout the school year, and will practice on the mats at the brand-new Canyon Activity Center on the northeast part of the main campus."
