The Park of Four Waters tour will take you on a walk through undeveloped, natural desert to the ruins of prehistoric Ancestral Sonoran Desert People (Hohokam) canal systems. The Ancestral Sonoran Desert People lived in the Salt River Area from approximately 450AD to 1450AD. They were an agricultural society, growing corn, beans, squash and cotton. In order to support their extensive agricultural system, the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People constructed miles of canals in order to direct water from the Salt River to their fields. Tour Date: Friday, March 17th 2023 Time: 10am Location: Pueblo Grande Museum & Archaeological Park - 4619 E. Washington St. Phoenix, AZ 85034 SPACE IS LIMITED. Please register at the front desk in Museum Lobby on the day of the tour or sign up through Activenet. There are 6 spots available at the front desk and an additional 6 spots available for pre-registration online through Activenet. Tour is $15.00 *** This is an outdoor tour through undeveloped desert and is not wheelchair accessible.
