About This Activity
Our camp is designed to teach first time sailors, to sailors looking to advance their racing skills. Sailing is a very weather dependent activity, so occasionally there are days where we can't be on the water, but there is still tons of fun to be had! From scavenger hunts to knot tying, team challenges, and tie dye, there is something to be enjoyed for every child, both on and off the water. Programming is based around the Cansail curriculum, however our camp tries to give sailors the confidence and skills to sail safely while having as much fun as possible, rather than focusing on attaining a certain level. Participants are REQUIRED to bring: a well-fitting, Coast Guard Approved (CGA) lifejacket, a swim suit, a wet suit, sunscreen, a water bottle, a hat, a towel, and dry change of clothes for on-land activities. NEW THIS YEAR: Please send your sailor with closed-toed shoes that can be worn in the sailboat, these can be old running shoes or water shoes but they are very important to reduce the risk of slipping on boat or foot injuries. Cancellations prior to our registration close date (June 18th) will receive a full refund minus a small service charge set out by our registration company. Cancellations after June 18th but greater than 1 week before the start of the camp session will receive a 50% refund. Less than 1 week there will be no refund.
