This course certifies participants to teach American Red Cross swimming and water safety courses to infants through adults. The precourse will be by appointment before the first day of class.Additional InformationTo pass the precourse, participants must tread water and back float in deep water for one minute and swim 25 yards of the following strokes at a Swim Level 4 ability or higher: front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and sidestroke. Bring a one-inch notebook on the first day of class to hold your instructor manual. Bring a swimsuit, towel, and dry change of clothes to all class sessions.
