This course certifies participants to teach American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim and water safety courses to infants through adults. The precourse will be by appointment before the first day of class.Additional InformationTo pass the precourse, participants must demonstrate the following:
- Swim 25 yards of the following strokes at an American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Level 4 ability or higher
- Front crawl/freestyle
- Back crawl
- Elementary backstroke
- Breaststroke
- Butterfly
- Sidestroke.
- Tread water for one minute
- Maintain a back float in deep water for one minute
