Description
This course certifies participants to teach American Red Cross swimming courses to infants through adults. The pre-course will be by appointment before the first day of class. Additional Information To pass the pre-course, participants must tread water and back float in deep water for one minute and swim 25 yards of the following strokes at a Level 4 ability or higher: front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and sidestroke. Online content for blended learning classes will be sent to participants 2 weeks in advance and all online content must be completed prior to the first in-person class day. Bring a one-inch notebook on the first day of class to hold your instructor manual. Bring a swimsuit, towel, and dry change of clothes to all class sessions.
