About This Activity
Description
If your child falls face down into the water, knowing how to roll onto a face up back float can save a life. Children will learn to use their bodies in the water without assistance and to look for air.Additional InformationThe most essential survival swimming skill we will teach your child is to roll from a face down position in the water to a face up independent back float since infants and toddlers cannot raise their heads to take a breath. If your baby is walking, then he or she can also learn to swim to the pool edge or steps, rolling over to breathe whenever air is needed.
These classes are private sessions. Each class is 10 minutes long. Lesson times are Monday-Thursday between 9:20am and 11:30am and will be scheduled with the instructor after registration. The full course is usually 6-8 weeks, and the instructor will only teach lessons to those who will take the full course as it is more dangerous to not complete the course. Registering for only one week of lessons or trial classes are not permitted.
