Make a splash into leadership this summer at the Tampa YMCA’s Junior Lifeguard Camp a brand-new, two-week experience designed for teens (ages 13–14) who can already swim and are ready to take the next step toward becoming future lifeguards.
Participants will build real lifeguarding skills through hands-on, action-packed training led by our certified Lifeguard Instructors. Campers will:
- Earn their American Red Cross Junior Lifeguard Certificate
- Receive CPR and First Aid Certifications
- Get $50 in program credit toward the American Red Cross Lifeguard
- Certification Course (valid for two years)
- Learn how to teach swim lessons
- Gain experience in pool supervision, aquatics safety, and pool maintenance
- Develop teamwork, confidence, and leadership—all in a fun camp environment
This program is the perfect way for teens to gain valuable skills, build confidence, and get a head start on landing their first lifeguard job in the years ahead.
