About This Activity
Embark on the ultimate seaside adventure with Jr. Discoverers, where campers dive into hands-on marine exploration and discovery. Designed for young explorers aged 7–10, our Point Hudson campus becomes the launch point for investigating the fascinating creatures that inhabit our local waters and shorelines. Some days bring beach explorations, marine science activities, and creative discoveries on land; on other days, campers head out on the water for rowboat outings, powerboat rides, or even sailboat trips (weather permitting). Campers also spend a special day exploring the Marine Science Center! Our instructors are CPR and first-aid-certified and lovers of all things maritime—they ensure every day is filled with fun, curiosity, and adventure! 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬: • For Ages: 7–10 • Duration: 7 hours daily, Monday–Friday • Class size: 4–12 students, 3 instructors • What to bring each day: Snack, lunch, and a water bottle; Sunhat, sunglasses, and sunscreen; Rain jacket; Towel and a change of clothes; Water-friendly shoes or sandals (no flip-flops please, sneakers are not ideal) • Notes: The Junior classes will take an off-site trip to Elevated Ice Cream & Candy Shop on one of the program days, typically Friday. The price of this is included in your program fees.
