About This Activity
Due to popular demand, our Jr. Pirates camp is returning this summer as a half-day program. Campers will be able to dress up as swashbuckling pirates as they sail and row around Port Townsend Bay looking for buried treasure. Instructors will share stories of famous pirates from the age of sail while providing maritime experiences like building spyglasses and knot-tying. Campers will even have the chance to design, build, and decorate their own model pirate ships in the NWM Boatshop. This class runs from 1 PM to 4 PM. ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฌ: โข For Ages: 6โ9 โข Duration: 3 hours daily, MondayโFriday โข Class size: 4โ12 students, 3 instructors โข What to bring each day: Snack and water bottle; Sunhat, sunglasses, and sunscreen Rain jacket; Towel and a change of clothes; Water-friendly shoes or sandals (no flip-flops please; sneakers are not ideal) โข Notes: The Junior classes will take an off-site trip to Elevated Ice Cream & Candy Shop on one of the program days, typically Friday. The price of this is included in your program fees.
