About This Activity
Description
Focused on developing self-confidence and building teamwork and leadership skills, our Leadership through Dance™ Program is designed exclusively for our youth to learn about themselves, while experiencing different styles of dance (including hip hop, jazz, contemporary and more). They will have the opportunity to choreograph and perform on stage at a special showcase for family & friends. Learn more about our program at www.mariposadance.com/leadership.------Our students will be co-producing and performing in a special performance with our instructors for their families at the end of the program, currently planned for Sunday, Dec 14, 2025. The actual time of tech and rehearsal is TBD, so please reserve 2:30pm-9pm for now. We may also need to add an additional date for Tech, but that is determined once we are able to define our showcase plan. Updated information will be provided once we narrow down these details.Note that we do not charge an upfront performance fee. However, additional performance-related costs such as costumes & team t-shirts will be handled separately as we get closer to the show. Tickets will also be sold to cover the cost of the Theater.
Program runs on Tuesdays, from 9/2-12/16, including a special showcase at Woodside High School on Sunday, 12/14/25* No class 11/11 for Veterans Day Holiday* No class 11/25 for Thanksgiving

Please dress comfortably for dance & active movement. No shorts or dresses please. Sneakers/athletic shoes will be required. Additional jazz shoes or half-soles are also recommended but optional. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
