About This Activity

Description

AM: Strategy+Logic Games Camp, by BAC, is an enriching Board-game Camp that looks beyond the borders of Chess (this is not a chess camp) to explore many of the ancient board games from all other civilizations and cultures! We play historic games, homebrew games, award-wining strategy and card games, learn new mathematical and STEM concepts, create-your-own workshops, a maze-making competition, all in a board-game camp meant to develop social skills, creativity, critical thinking and fun! Depending on how the week goes, we may also introduce popular RPG games such as Magic The Gathering and Dungeons &Dragons! You don't want to miss this Camp!

PM: BayAreaChess combines fun and learning while promoting team spirit and an academic edge! Our chess program will cover the very basics for new students to the game and we can challenge more experienced players with more advanced concepts. Students will have the opportunity to learn the moves of the pieces, opening strategy, tactics, checkmates and endgame play with our top professional coaches. Students will also learn valuable life skills through chess; such as winning and losing with grace, sportsmanship, planning ahead and team spirit. Our mission is to transform and enrich the lives of students through chess. Acquire new knowledge, new experiences and new friends with Bay Area Chess!
