About This Activity
Description
Prepare for a week of laughs and craziness with this funny adaptation of some of the most popular ancient Greek myths. Two battling narrators attempt to cover the entirety of Greek mythology using audience participation, cross dressing, and general theatrical absurdity. While they try their best to remain reliable narrators, creation myths featuring Pandora's box and Cronos and the Titans take on unique twists, jostling for space with other famous myths about Icarus and Jason and the Argonauts. Culminating in a heart-pounding, five-minute, two-actor version of The Iliad, this fast-paced, freewheeling play is wild, silly and a complete blast for everyone. Actors of all experience levels will have Herculean fun as they stretch their creative muscles and learn a little about Greek mythology while preparing a comical performance for families to be presented on the final day of camp.
