Jellyfish is a fun introduction for your little one to learn basic water safety and skills in a group setting. They are introduced to the water, taught safe water practices and entry level skills at an age-appropriate level. Jellyfish is for ages 3-5 years old.
Focus: Elementary water skills, developing comfort in the water, enforcing good habits in and around the water
Skills Taught:
Safely entering and exiting the water
Blowing bubbles
Bobbing
Opening eyes underwater and retrieving submerged objects
Front and back starfish floats (with support)
Front and back missile position (with support)
Alternating arm and leg action
Limit of one class per person per Registration period. If you sign up for a class that is too advanced, your child may not be able to participate in that class for their own safety and will be removed.
***If unsure of swim level, see our Swim Lessons Descriptions on our Aquatic Website or email the Aquatic Specialist at Melanie_Bushnell@ci.richmond.ca.us regarding appropriate swim level. Incorrect level registration will result in no refund or partial refund.
Bring your own towels and swimsuit. Goggles are recommended but not required. We will provide any swim equipment necessary. We do not allow floatation devices for children.
If a registered participant cancels or does not continue in a program, NO REFUND, NO CREDITS, NO TRANSFERS will be given. Failure to abide by Aquatics policies may result in suspension from program with no refund of fees paid.
