Description
The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course is a nationally recognized program includes accident prevention, lifeguarding techniques, emergency systems, and rescue skills. This course also includes CPR for the professional Rescuer with AED, Oxygen Administration and First Aid certification in addition to the lifeguard certification. An American Red Cross digital Lifeguard Manual, Hip Pack, Whistle, and Resuscitation Mask will be provided at the start of class. Class size is limited, pre-registration is recommended. Minimum of four participants needed to run the class. A YMCA Lifeguard Manual, Hip Pack, Whistle, and Resuscitation Mask will be provided. Class size is limited, pre-registration is recommended.
Candidates must pass a pre-requisite swim on the first night of class. American Red Cross digital Lifeguard book, hip pack/mask and whistle will be given at the conclusion of the pre-requisite swim on the first night of class. Welcome e-mail and access to required eLearnings with due dates will be sent out via e-mail prior to class start date. All eLearnings must be completed by the due dates as assigned by the instructor. Candidates will not be allowed to continue the course if eLearnings are not completed on time.
