About This Activity

Description

The last day for Internet Registration was Apr 4, 2024 11:59 PM.

This class is for teens and adults 13 years and older and will be tailored based on the individual’s ability at the time of lessons. Participants may have little or no swimming skills or have a fear of the water or may be looking to improve their stroke technique. Our swim lesson program for teens and adults has something for everyone. This class will be progressive, building on skills throughout the session. For beginners we will focus on developing comfort going underwater, basic self-rescue skills in addition to basic front and back floating. Intermediate swimmers will focus on developing intermediate self-rescue skills while learning side breathing and integrated arm/leg action. More advanced swimmers will focus on the introduction of basic stroke technique in front crawl and back crawl and reinforces water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke. Swimmers will also learn basic breaststroke and butterfly kick. Advanced swimmers will also focus on endurance as they practice and focus on stroke technique for front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke
