Description
The purpose of the American Red Cross r.24 Lifeguarding Instructor Course is to train instructor candidates to teach the basic-level courses of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program.
The Lifeguard Instructor Course is offered in a blended learning format that combines an online session with in-person sessions, conducted by a Red Cross--certified Lifeguard Instructor Trainer.
The purpose of the American Red Cross r.24 Lifeguarding Instructor Course is to train instructor candidates to teach the basic-level courses of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program.
- Be at least 17 years old
- Possess a current basic-level certification in ARC Lifeguarding (including deep water) with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid.
- Obtain Instructor Course material prior to the start of the in-person session. You will need a printed copy of the Lifeguard Instructor manual and printed or digital copies of the American Red Cross Lifeguard participant manual.
- Successfully complete the online session of the Lifeguarding Instructor course prior to the precourse in-person session.
- Successfully complete the prerequisites skill assessment scenario to continue in course.
