In this dynamic and creative program, kids will bring their original characters and stories to life through a blend of cartooning, creative writing, and performance. Over eight weeks, they’ll develop their ideas through guided storytelling and illustration, refine them into scripts or storyboards, and explore their characters through improv and acting exercises. The program culminates in an exciting showcase where students perform their creations, combining visual storytelling and theater in a way that engages different learning styles and sparks imagination!
Week 1-2: Develop original characters and story ideas through guided cartooning and storytelling exercises.Week 3-4: Script development - kids refine their stories and turn them into short scripts or storyboards.Week 5: Improv acting exercises help kids explore how their characters move, speak, and interact.Week 6-8: Rehearsal and performance - kids put on a short showcase featuring their characters in action!Exception Dates: June 19th & July 3rd
