About This Activity
13 week series During this sewing and fashion class students will be introduce to the Art of Denim deconstruction to then be able to create a full up-cycled denim collection by learning how to maximize the use of these textiles. During this 10 weeks intensive program, students will have up-cycled between 1-5 items, depending on skill level and difficulty of the project (can include garment, hats, jewerly, shoes). We work with pre-loved clothes and discarded textiles. Students must bring 4 to 10 pairs of old/discarded denim clothes in adult size (denim jeans, denim jacket, denim shirt, etc) to use during the class. We will have some of these materials available at the class as well. All other sewing materials and sewing machines are included for this class.
