All lessons are 1/2 hour in length (no group or semi-private lessons offered at this time). All patrons (including children) are required to show proof of full vaccination (1st & 2nd dose) against COVID-19.
Instructor Bio:
Serina (she/her) has been swimming since before she could walk, lifeguarding for 14 years, and teaching swim lessons for just as long. She brings a unique experience of mastering the competitive swimming strokes as an adult, through the City College of San Francisco swim program, where they trained and recruited women to join their new team in 2011. Since then it has become a meticulous endeavor to continuously improve on her strokes and others. She is American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certified and presses upon the importance of learning safety in water above all else. She believes that once you feel safe in the water, other things will fall into place. She has led parent-toddler swim lessons, pre-school levels, all six Red Cross learn-to-swim levels, pre-swim team classes, adult learn-to-swim classes as well as swim coaching youth and Masters. She enjoys teaching all types of swimmers, improving upon teaching strategies for the varying challenges that each level can have. She has continued to teach swim lessons for the joy that comes with mastering something new, while addressing the range of concerns, frustrations, and uncertainty that is inevitable with all swimmers, at all levels. She is excited to meet you and get to know your goals for your swimming future!
