About This Activity

Description

Chess camp is being led by an accomplished chess expert and instructor. Students will focus on the basics of chess, openings, middle game, end games, peace movement, captures, checkmate, and tactics. Daily worksheets provided. The students will prepare for tournaments. Fee includes a Ribbon award at the end of the camp. Students should bring a snack and a water bottle.

Refunds must be made in writing 14 calendar days prior to the start of the activity.
A $10 Processing Fee applies to each activity cancellation requested by the participant.
NO REFUNDS will be made for requests received LESS THAN 14 calendar days prior to the start of the activity.
If your child requires medication during program hours, a Medication Waiver must be completed for them to use the medication and/or receive assistance administering it while in the program. This includes items such as EpiPens, inhalers, and other prescribed medications. If this is not noted under Special Accommodations during registration, please email Krissy Marquez at Christine.marquez@sanjoseca.gov to communicate your child’s medication needs. This is a City-wide policy to ensure the safety and proper care of all participants during program hours.
