Unleash their creativity with our cutting-edge ""Game Design with MakeCode"" course!Designed for students aged 8-12, this course goes beyond traditional programming classes. Powered by Microsoft's innovative platform, students will not only learn foundational coding concepts but also design their own virtual arcade games. Our emphasis on user experience sets this course apart, as students learn to create intuitive and engaging games while honing their skills as thoughtful programmers. Get ready to watch your child's technical prowess and creative thinking soar in this immersive and collaborative setting!
This course is beginner friendly, but will challenge and engage students of all programming levels.
Code For Fun instructors are experts in Computer Science and make all sessions fun and engaging for all students.

Refunds must be made in writing 14 calendar days prior to the start of the activity.
A $10 Processing Fee applies to each activity cancellation requested by the participant.
NO REFUNDS will be made for requests received LESS THAN 14 calendar days prior to the start of the activity.
If your child requires medication during program hours, a Medication Waiver must be completed for them to use the medication and/or receive assistance administering it while in the program. This includes items such as EpiPens, inhalers, and other prescribed medications. If this is not noted under Special Accommodations during registration, please email Krissy Marquez at Christine.marquez@sanjoseca.gov to communicate your child’s medication needs. This is a City-wide policy to ensure the safety and proper care of all participants during program hours.
