Tap/Ballet I introduces children to the basics of ballet and tap, combining creative movement, grace and balance. Students learn basic tap steps such as shuffles, rhythm exercises, springs, and elementary ballet including plies, tendus, passes, and the basic ballet positions. Instruction advances with age and ability of participants.
Parents may stay for first 10 minutes of first class and are invited back at the end of program for a class demonstration. Suggested Attire: Comfortable clothes or leotards, tights and tutus. Students are encourage to bring Tap and Ballet shoes, but may wear closed-toe shoes and bare feet for Ballet.
Cancellation request must be made in writing 14 calendars days prior to the start of activity. A $10 processing fee applies to each activity cancellation requested by the participant. No refunds will be made for requests received less than 14 calendar days prior to the start of the activity.
