Location: Lake Cunningham Action Sports Park – 2305 S. White Rd., San José, CA
Experience the excitement of skateboarding at California’s largest skate and bike park! This 7-week instructional program teaches young riders the fundamentals of skateboarding in a safe, supportive, and structured environment. Participants will learn proper stance, pushing, turning, stopping, and balance on flat ground before progressing to controlled riding on banks, quarter pipes, and street features. As skills develop, riders will be introduced to ollies, flow techniques, and linking simple lines through the park.
Lessons focus on building confidence, coordination, and safety awareness, while encouraging creativity and individual style. Riders will be grouped by ability and will advance at their own pace, progressing from beginner to intermediate-level skills. The session concludes with a fun skills showcase to celebrate each rider’s progress.
Highlights:
- Skill progression from fundamentals to park riding
- Instruction on LCASP’s flat zones, street features, and mellow transitions
