Your Python journey starts here!This course offers a bridge between block-based and text-based coding using the EduBlocks platform; blending the logical world of programming with creativity and fun! Students will smoothly transition into Python as they bring their ideas to life through engaging projects like ""Fireworks Frenzy"", ""Sundae Simulator"", ""Frozen Function"", and ""Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown.
Students will build algorithms using programming fundamentals such as variables, conditionals, loops, functions, and learn debugging as they create their projects. Through combining art, games and coding, we aim to spark curiosity, foster creativity, and build critical thinking skills.? This course is beginner-friendly but designed to keep students of all levels challenged and engaged.? Code For Fun instructors bring expertise, energy, and a love of computer science to every session, making learning both fun and unforgettable. Please wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Refunds must be made in writing 14 calendar days prior to the start of the activity.
A $10 Processing Fee applies to each activity cancellation requested by the participant.
NO REFUNDS will be made for requests received LESS THAN 14 calendar days prior to the start of the activity.
If your child requires medication during program hours, a Medication Waiver must be completed for them to use the medication and/or receive assistance administering it while in the program. This includes items such as EpiPens, inhalers, and other prescribed medications. If this is not noted under Special Accommodations during registration, please email Krissy Marquez at Christine.marquez@sanjoseca.gov to communicate your child’s medication needs. This is a City-wide policy to ensure the safety and proper care of all participants during program hours.
