WELCOME PEAK2PACIFIC STAFF & LIFEGUARDS Peak2Pacific’s Outdoor Adventures and Environmental Education programs provides each camper with opportunities to grow socially, mentally, emotionally and physically through our Outdoor Adventures. The success of each camper’s experience depends upon the maturity, leadership ability, attitude, participation and enthusiasm of the camp staff and our C.I.T’s. Through our preliminary process, we have discovered that you possess the characteristics of a successful contributor to our P2P programs. Some of these characteristics are: • A positive attitude • Mature judgment and actions • Good health, vitality and initiative • Enjoyment of outdoor life and sociability • A genuine appeal of working with children • The ability to understand a camper’s needs and place those needs above your own • The ability to work with others as a team member • The ability to provide a positive role model • Loyalty to the objectives and mission of the camp and program • Unquestionable moral character and integrity • Complete professionalism in carrying out responsibilities • Sincerity, a sense of humor, good sportsmanship and a smile! You have been selected to do a job that can be enjoyable, tiring, fun, stressful and incredibly rewarding. We realize that we are asking you to give up a great deal of privacy and independence. You will be asked to live by certain rules and policies, changing your customary lifestyle. It will sometimes be difficult; however, we are certain that each of you will provide the positive input necessary for the success of the campers and the camp program. We are confident that you will make many positive contributions to our staff team. We hope that you will experience the same fun, personal growth and success that you will provide for each of the campers, and that your experience as an instructor is a rewarding one.
