Description
Lifeguard Certification training (Blended Learning)Earn your American Red Cross Lifeguard certification through this blended learning course. Upon successful completion, participants will receive certifications in Lifeguarding with first aid for public safety personnel (title 22), bloodborne pathogens, administering emergency oxygen, asthma inhaler training, epinephrine auto-injector (EpiPen) training. Certifications are valid for two years.
Course Format: This is a blended learning class that includes:7.5 hours of online coursework (Must be completed prior to the first in-person class) six (6) mandatory in-person training sessions Proof of online completion is required on the first day of class.Deadline to register: April 2, 2026, by 4:00pm
Location: Paul Nelson Aquatics Center620 S McClelland St.
Onsite in person training: Monday April 6, 2025- Saturday April 11, 2026, 8:30am-4:00pm
Prerequisites:
- Must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class.
- Must pass a pre-course swimming skills test on the first day (Includes swim, tread, and times brick retrieval
Prerequisites for Lifeguard Training Include:-Student must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class.-Student must pass a pre-course swimming skills test prior to taking the lifeguarding in-person sessions. This will be conducted on the first day of on-site training.
