Description
The SM Baskeball Academy Fall leagues are open to participants of all skill levels and run for eight weeks unless otherwise noted. Our registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis with limited spots available.
Each SMBA league participant will receive a uniform prior to the first game and an award at the end of the season. Our teams are formed through a standard draft process, with siblings in the same age group placed on the same team. All other team requests are not guaranteed. Once teams are finalized, no changes will be allowed.
Players receive signature SMBA Santa Monica reversible jersey!
All players must attend one of the scheduled evaluations to be placed on a team. The only exceptions are players registered in the Mini-Baller division, who will not be evaluated. These players will be placed directly on a team and contacted by their coach before their first practice.
- Consistent attendance at both practices and games is required. Repeated unexcused absences may result in removal from the team without a refund. No refunds or credits for missed practices/games.
- Attire: Players should wear baseball attire daily, including hats and cleats, sunscreen and water for hydration.
- Material Fee ( $10) - Payable to the instructor at checkin.
Sign Up Early To Coach To Qualify For Pre-Registration. Coaches meetings/player drafts will be held right after the 2nd evaluation. The SMBA Fall basketball league is a six week league tailored for 10 to 12 year old children who would like to learn the game of basketball! Our program will focus on the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting and passing. The SMBA Fall League experience will emphasize fundamentals, developing proper techniques and understanding the basics of basketball. Players need to have good motor skills, ability to perform in group settings, abilityto function in a team environment with an ability to take direction.
Online registration is required. Walk-in registration is not available.
REFUNDS - Camp refunds will be issued with medical documentation or if requested at least 5 calendar days prior to the first meeting. Refunds will be prorated. A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Requests must be made by email to community.classes@santamonica.gov. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
Makeups will not be offered for days missed by the student. All class dates, times, locations, and instructors are subject to change without notice.
