Description
Our new Spring pod will get your player ready to play with professional instruction!
Fielders will field! Work on stance, backhands, double plays, bunt coverage, foot work, ground balls, taking proper angles to the ball, fly balls, rundowns, and situational play.
Pitchers will pitch! Work with our pitching coach each week to elevate your game!
Hitters will hit! Work on tee work, velocity, balance, driving the ball with live hitting and eye hand coordination drills to enhance ball visibility. Pitching will consist of mechanics, velocity, arm care, footwork and pitching defensive skills.
Catchers Will Catch! Work on pop times, sliding, angles, blocking, managing the game with signs. Base running from sliding, turning and speed!
Each week we will get a game going so we can take these skills into a game time situation each week!
SMBA professional coaches are subject to availability and at the discretion of SMBA for any and all camps and classes. Upon signing up, parent agrees SMBA coaching staff will have final discretion on pod groupings for balance, safety, level of play and best fit for the overall pod play experience.
Participants must wear a mask, and bring a baseball glove and bat. Catchers must bring their own gear. $5 cash material fee payable to instructor on the first day of class. Baseball pants and socks are recommended, but not required. Players should wear a hat and sunscreen. Please bring your own snacks and drinks.
The City of Santa Monica continues to place the highest value on the health and safety of our community. In compliance with LA County Public Health Guidelines, additional mandatory Safety Protocols and Procedures will be implemented in an effort to keep us all safe during this time.
• Maintain physical distancing of six feet at all times.
• Face coverings are required at all times, including during play.
• Stay home if you are feeling unwell or sick.
• Wash hands frequently.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be made in writing to the program supervisor in person or by fax (310-899-0840), mail, or email (communityclasses@smgov.net). Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES will be made up at the end of the session. Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
