Encourage your child to learn the Spanish language in a totally immersed and fun environment! This camp is perfect for youngsters without any knowledge of the Spanish language as well as for the advanced speakers who want to keep practicing Spanish and acquiring more vocabulary, fluency and understanding. Children will work in groups matching their age and Spanish language level. Kids will work on vocabulary and pronunciation through a number of theme-based projects ranging from arts and craft to games, stories, songs, cooking, nature, music, puppets and more!
Children must be ready to attend class on their own and be potty
Children are supported by a Google classroom where they have access to videos, songs, games, and virtual activities. They can also follow Rosita, the classroom puppet pet, allowing them to connect vocabulary to daily routines.
Children must be ready to attend class on their own and be potty trained. Please bring a healthy snack and lunch, and water. $30 cash material fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class.
The City of Santa Monica continues to place the highest value on the health and safety of our community. Additional safety protocols and procedures such as social distancing and face masks may be implemented as directed by current LA County Department of Public Health Guidelines.
Online registration is required. Walk-in registration is not available.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
