GYMTASTICS!
BUILDS SKILLS - BOOSTS CONFIDENCE - WILDLY FUN!
Students will participate in tumbling, acrobatics and stunts on tumbling mats,
balance beams, springboard, climbing and tumbling bolsters, balls and more!
Students will:
Develop Dexterity using balls of all sizes, ribbons, bean bags, hoops, rings, ropes, and a parachute!
Increase Cardio via obstacle courses, cooperative games, relays and locomotion skills.
Accomplish Coordination, balance, strength, flexibility, focus, endurance, eye-hand-foot dexterity, agility, aerobic, capacity, rhythm, musicality, proprioception, partnering, teamwork and fun!
All Levels Welcome! No prior experience is needed. Each child will receive
personal attention and respect to bloom at their own pace. Class content will
be tailored to the specific level and interests of those enrolled. The instructor
is CA credentialed and highly experienced in children’s gymnastics education
to Bring out the Best in Your Child! Beginning and Intermediate levels!
The class has a $15 materials fee which must be paid directly to Peggy Fisher by the second-class meeting.
POSTPONED CLASSES- Will be made up at the end of the session. Parent/Guardian will be notified by email of schedule update.MATERIAL FEES- Due by the end of the second class and payable directly to the contractor. They are separate from the registration fee and financial assistance does not apply. MINIMUM DAYS- Classes will continue as scheduled on minimum days unless otherwise notified.RAINY DAYS- Indoor classes will continue and CREST staff will be available to help accommodate your child until the beginning of his/her enrichment class(es). We will try our best to relocate all classes scheduled to take place outside into an indoor location. If no indoor space is available, the class will be cancelled for the for the day and the class will be made up at the end of the session.TRANSFER/REFUND- Transfers and Refunds will only be accepted with use of the City of Santa Monica's Transfer/Refund form. Please fill out a Transfer/Refund request form, in person, by fax, or mail. Transfers/Refunds will be considered if requested within one business day after the first-class meeting. The form can be found online at www.smgov.net/crest, the Youth Office at Virginia Avenue Park or your child's CREST school site.LATE PICK-UPS- Parents are responsible for picking up their child on time. When a child is not picked up on time, the CREST staff will contact the persons listed on the registration form. Staff will continue to call until someone is reached and will remain with the child until the child is picked up. If those listed on the registration form cannot be contacted, staff will have to release the child to the Santa Monica Police Department. It is CREST Policy to allow for no more than three late pick-ups over the course of a school year. When your child is picked up after the program end time, you are required to sign a late pick-up form. The fee for late pick-up is $1 per minute, per child. Continued late picks-up will require a meeting with Program Supervisor.ENROLLMENT- Students must be enrolled at this school to participate in classes scheduled at this school facility.Parents/guardians will be advised via email, text and/or phone call.
