Description
$50 material fee (one time only fee for uniform package) payable to instructor on the first day of class. Minimum of white belt with a black stripe through Karate 4 Kids USA required prior to beginning class. Belt testing will be available at an additional fee as students’ progress through the program.
Karate 4 Kids USA programming builds a child's self-confidence and physical fitness while they are having fun and learn vital skills like: patience, persistence and active lifestyle through the martial arts. Practicing karate is to face challenges, learn to focus, solve problems and set goals and stick to them. Students train on soft targets without any contact with each other. Self-defense is taught in a fun way. The program has been designed with young children in mind.
Closed-toe athletic shoes required; no sandals.
Class may meet outside in the grass or inside the Auditorium at Joslyn Park.

PRIORITY ONLINE REGISTRATION for Santa Monica residents begins Wednesday, January 24 at 6 a.m. Non-resident registration begins Wednesday, January 31 at 6 a.m. Online registration is required. Walk-in registration is not available.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
