This class is designed for junior players who have developed a strong foundation and are ready to prepare for team and match play. Taught by the USTA award-winning Santa Monica Tennis Collective, sessions focus on improving consistency, movement, serving, returning, and point development through structured drills, live-ball play, and competitive games. Players will continue refining technique while learning how to construct points, make better shot selections, understand court positioning, and compete with greater confidence. This class provides a bridge between instructional programming and Junior Team Tennis, middle and high school teams, USTA tournaments, and other competitive opportunities. Prerequisite: Players should be able to rally with consistency, serve to begin points, keep score, and participate comfortably in structured point play. Free evaluations are available. REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.All class dates, times, locations, and instructors are subject to change without notice.
